This as of yet unidentified Landolphia from tropical central Africa produces wrinkly, yellow, lemon-sized fruits with orange red, edible, delicious sweet flesh that is similar to mangosteen in flavor and texture. In Africa it is harvested from the wild but would doubtlessly adapt well to cultivation in tropical climates.
