Cyranthus brachyscyphus, or the Dobo Lily is related to the amaryllis and is a soft wooded perennial, with the foliage dying down in winter to regrow in spring.
It has narrow lance-shaped leaves and tall stems that hold the bright orange flowers aloft in spring and summer.
The flowers are 2cm long and tubular, flaring at the mouth.
They are great when planted en-masse on banks and also go very well in rockeries.
