Clitocybe gibba  (Pers.) P. Kumm. 

Convex buff-colored soft thick cap expands to become funnel-shaped with a wavy margin. White gills are decurrent. Stem is slightly bulbous with fine mycelium at the base. Saprotropph that grows on the ground under hardwoods. Fruits from summer through fall.

Edible species. Slight almond fragrance.

Stems are tougher than caps and it is recommended they be removed.

Good fried with with onions, or in risottos, soups, etc.

It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
