Distribution and Habitat

Dwellingup to Collie and between Cape Naturaliste and Prevelly, growing in gravelly and sandy-clay soils. Near Dunsborough the subspecies is often found in soil pockets on coastal granite outcrops.

Description

A geographically restricted subspecies 300–500 mm high with a hairy leaf 120–250 mm long by 6–12 mm wide and up to four predominantly white flowers 70–100 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the subsp. longicauda, with which it sometimes grows, by its smaller flowers and shorter labellum fringe segments.
