    Description
    Twiner; branchlets puberulous. Leaves decussate, elliptic to obovate, to 8 x 4 cm, subcoriaceous, puberulous below, base obtuse, apex short-acuminate; petiole to 1.5 cm. Cymes dichasial, lax; peduncle to 3 cm, puberulous; bracts lanceolate, 3 mm; pedicel 0.5 cm. Calyx-lobes 5, ovate, 4 mm, rusty puberulous without. Corolla broad-campanulate, cream, 1 cm wide; lobes 5, oblong, 1 cm, recurved, overlapping to left in bud. Corona 1, of 5 erect, dorsally flattened segments attached to staminal column. Stamens 5; connective produced above; pollen masses 2 per cell, ascending. Style apex elongate, longer than staminal column. Follicles paired, elongate, fusiform, 15 x 1 cm; seeds oblong, 1.5 x 0.6 cm; coma silky.
