Flower Size 4 3/4 to 5 1/2" [12 to 14 cm]

Found in Morona Santiago Ecuador as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with rectangular to ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, gray-green, plicate, petiolate, broadly lanceolate leaves and blooms in the spring on a pendant, basal, to 10" [25 cm] long, inflorescence enveloped almost completely by chartaceous sheaths and carrying a single flower
