Common Name The Rigid Caladenia - The Island White Spider Orchid

Flower Size .42 to 4" [6 to 10 cm]

This terrestrial species is from southwest Western Australia at elevations of 50 to 100 meters in shrublands and Mallee vegetaion near granite outcrops and at the margins of salt lakes near the sea and is a form variation of the type species. Differs from the norm in the smaller flower, stiffly spreading sepals and petals as well as a relatively small column.
